CO 757 emergency landing in GUM

http://www.guampdn.com/article/20100...ing+at+airport

<quote>A Continental flight en route to Hong Kong turned around and landed back on Guam in an emergency landing this morning around 7 a.m., said A.B. Won Pat Guam International Airport Authority General Manager Carlos Salas.

Salas said he received a call this morning about a plane that had to make an emergency landing due to engine problems. The flight was carrying only 4 crew members, all of whom arrived back at the airport safely, he said.

Salas said it was a routine procedure, but it was interesting that it happened during Airport Week.

'We applaud the airport folks that ...safely guided the aircraft to the airport terminal," he said.</quote>

Left engine on fire after takeoff. CO does not fly 753 on revenue from GUM. This sounds like a ferrying flight on its way to HKG for heavy maintenance.
