Just in from a ride here. It is always tough riding after running (and vice-versa), not sure which combination I prefer yet. Was out running errands (Home Depot has a $5 rebate on gallons of paint), and stopped in Sports Chalet. This place is always a mess, but sometimes you have some good finds. I was pleasantly surprised with their selection of bike clothing, and good prices. Picked up another pair of shorts and a jersey (and a swimsuit for under $10), so now I have 3 bike outfits ^
Anyway, after my group ride on Thursday, a gal there gave me some ideas for rides near home (she lives a mile away), and I followed one of her tips. The beginning of my ride was quite similar to my run this morning. Then I went back and did my 'standard' ride. Feeling much more comfortable on the bike, no back or hand soreness today, just that usually feeling between my legs.

For the first time on a solo ride, I took a break. I thought I'd get stuck at a light where I'd get to relax, but made it through, so decided to pull into a parking lot for some water...didn't realize how thirsty I was. Saw a couple other people out biking, and passed some casual riders. Had a near miss with one, he was crossing a street against traffic, and I was turning with traffic. I was signaling I was turning...
I did get the Garmin cadence sensor, but haven't yet installed it. The directions look rather simple, but I'm not quite sure... I may bribe my bikeshop to do it when I take it in for a tune-up this week.
I have off tomorrow, and haven't yet decided what I'll do. Our weather this coming week is supposed to be rainy, so if it isn't raining tomorrow, I may do a rare double-day ride and/or run (two days in a row). I'm planning to do a group ride the shop I bought from is organizing next Sunday. 37 miles seems like quite a bit, but I should be able to handle it (did 32 on Thurs).
Have the local news on right now, and they just did a little bit on the marathon. I have some regrets I didn't do at least the half, and I think maybe next year I should at least do the half.
