Back in the late 90's, I could take a morning flight on Delta and the flight credit was posted to my account that night when I checked my account on the Interent in my hotel room. I don't understand why it takes so long for US to post your flight credit...when your boarding pass is scanned at the airport, one of the scans should go to the Dividend Miles FF database.
