Make sure you save your boarding passes! My thinking is that since you got the upgrade and over the phone US told you the FF # was in the reservation you're probably ok. Also, as you probably know, it takes US 2 days to post the miles to your account. For whatever reason, UA is always quicker.
However, if not, all you'll have to do is log into your US account, click the request missing miles link in the "quick links" section and input your ticket number and seat number. I've never done it but it appears to be pretty painless.
to a GA who didin't want to help. That, IMO, is the main problem with US. There are a lot of good people who are willing to help but there are a few who are not that make the rest look bad.
