Cafe Japone is alright, nothing special.

Kramerbooks is a good 24 hour option.

Old Ebbitt is a tourist trap, IMHO.

Bistro du Coin is good for cafe French type food.

The Diner in Adams Morgan (take a cab) is open 24/7 and has surprisingly good entrees.
