TBS survives seating upright all night on IB business plus ! (seat power n/a)
Hi,
In the GF now with Ayala champagne^
but last night's IB flight in business plus from SCL to MAD was uncomfortable and long as in a full cabin rows 1-4 had no power to the seats ( ie they were in the fully upright position all flight) but rows 5-7 had ( and I was in row 3)
We were also 2 hours late leaving MAD causing me to miss the 1 hr 50 connection to LHR at MAD by 10mins but IB staff met us at the gate with new boarding passes.
The captain was apologetic but we received no information form the purser.
The purser on the MAD-LHR flight was more apologetic and gave me a few details to write to IB.
Sitting up all night was long and uncomfortable compared to a fully flat bed ( albeit more space than economy) and I will be writing to IB for some measure of compesation.
I was surprised IB is still using blankets compared to duvets on BA/LAN etc and compared to LAN IFE ( 600 CDs!) the IFE was fairly basic.
I would recommend LAN en route to South america.
I will post in several morte topics but Easter Island was fantastic.
