So obviously I will be traveling "pet-in-cabin" - over the water to the US. I have heard some bad stories about ground staff not honoring the special service request, etc. I was wondering if any of you have experience with such matters?
And what is the SAS E+ seating like? Sadly, you must travel in E with pets. I have not been on such a long flight in E for many years...
Thanks much!
First of all you have to make sure that you have "booked" space for the pet in cabin - SAS allow for two pets in the cabin, on a first come first serve basis.
I usually book long in advance to ensure that my pet is allowed on. Then call to get a confirmation, and get the name of the person you are speaking to.
At the airport, you pay the pet fee 100USD or 200USD I can't recall.
Pets are only allowed in E and E extra
Seating:
E XX XXXX XX
E extra XX XXX XX
Have a great trip.
I usually give the pets very little food/water prior to the flight, and sometimes some meds to make the trip easier on the pet.
We have a Pomeranian, Wilbur, and he is a frequent flier by now.
Cheers,
Christian
