The Schwab card advantages are:
-You get 2% cash back. I calculated the value of the point in the Wells Fargo program at something like 1.8cents, so this is maybe 10% better.
-You just cash (in your Schwab account) and you can use it for whatever you want - tickets, food - doesn't matter.
-There are no thresholds to redemption. You don't end up with orphaned points in the account. You just get the 2% at the end of each billing cycle. Right now, I'm stuck with about 30,000 points in my WF account, so I have to find the right flight to have them book it to clear this out. With Schwab, I'd just get the $600, and I can easily stop anytime.
