Playing the "hang up" and try again routine works everytime. It all depends on the agent.

without giving away too much, I spoke to an AE agent recently who admited this was her last night since she was quiting(something about AE employees loosing their travel benefit?) so since it was her last call she did something quite amazing for me. I was very impressed.

Call and call back, very important.
