After reading the inital post, I found the AKL - PPT - AKL business class deals too good to miss.

Booked a easter 2 day trip, used "save10" for 10% disocount on my hotel stay and used some Amex rewards points to reduce the discounted biz clas fare on american express rewards flight booking where you can use part points part cash to pay ended me up with a 2 day stay in PPT for $1500 ( flights/hotel/transfers) and I get 420 status and Air Dollars which take me over half way to keeping GE!
