I just got an offer today for 25,000 miles after 1st purchase, another 15,000 after a thousand in spend, and 2,500 miles for an additonal card holder for a total of 42,500. In addition, it includes one free domestic Coach-Class companion certificate after first purchase.

Does anyone know the details of the companion certificate? Is it fare-class restricted?
