I imagine that these will convert to the typical Delta style screens(ATL, etc -style) after Feb 1. And this is just an interim template. It only seems confusing to us former NWA people because the Delta format puts the current time in the upper right corner which just happened to be where the old NWA screens had the departure time. I have done many double takes at MSP in the last few weeks because fo this. I am sure we will get used to it. It actually is easier to see the current time than it was before since NWA had it very very small at the bottom.

I do think that the former NWA white text on black design was a little cleaner and easier to read from a distance. I was able to read the city names from the moving walkways at MSP, now I am finding that I have to walk up to the gate since the text is about half the size.

As far as the upgrade lists disappearing because of this - not sure why they couldnt leave the NWA screens up until the changeover, but I am optimistic that this is just temporary as they switch things over. NWA really only had this feature in the hubs anyway, so it is encouraging that through this, the info might be available in more airports, more consistently.

Would be nice also if DL can figure out a way to make multiple segements print on a single boarding pass like NWA was able to do a couple years ago. I found that to be much more convenient and environmentally responsible. (Especially print-at-home)\

Hey- this is little stuff though. So far the merger has not been anything but positive for me as a frequent MSP traveler. Hoping when the economy picks up new destinations could be added. (legacy DL-only places)
