I am not keen on long drives, but this was very pleasant and the scenery lush and relatively interesting. As you cannot fly from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai, this is the best option. Equally, a FS car is much more comfortable than airports and airplanes (they also pack picnic snacks and drinks, so it's very civilised).
A couple of questions if possible:
1.I take it the FS arranged the car for you- any recollection of the cost?

2.In your opinion- is 2 days enough time to spend at the camp? They have a two day package on offer now- and for me I am thinking of arriving in Chiang Rai around 13:20 on the TG flight from Bangkok, then departing after 2 nights at the hotel on the afternoon PG flight from Chiang Mai to Samui. Would this work in your opinion/experiences?
