If you convince lots of people on this thread that you're right, then show up at the airport, you'll fly Y.
From what you've posted, further discussions with AA won't do much to get you into F.
Suing is a possibility, but AA seems to have some defenses that could make the process expensive for you, such as the apparent requirement that litigation be in Texas and the doctrine of mistake.
Is there some other alternative?
