When I call the old NW elite line #, I get a line about how Delta is better serving customers by sending us to agents that can do NW or DL. Then when I finally get a (DL) agent they'll say "oh sorry, thats an NW flight, we'll transfer you".

This happened to me thrice (out of the 4 times I called the elite line) last month. When the DL agent is ready to transfer me to a NW agent, I make a specific request to connect me to the NW elite agents, but I end up waiting on line for 40+ minutes to get an agent.
In 2007 and 2008 (the years I have been NW PE) I used to get NW elite reps within 10 seconds of hold time, every time. Most of my issues (including making complex award reservations) will be resolved with one call. I will be longing to call them again. But now, I am afraid to call the 'elite' line, seriously. I am still a PM (in fact, will be DM on Mar 1).
