I just had a situation last week where upgrades were taken out of my account for the delayed (and eventually cancelled) flight as well as the flight I finally took home. A quick call to AAdvantage customer service corrected this and they restored the upgrades from the cancelled flight. However, they have not seen fit to give me mileage credit for that flight. One rep. I spoke with got rather testy and suggested I try calling consumer relations. Does AA usually provide mileage for cancelled flights? What about Platinum bonus miles?
