I was booked in coach in the business class section of an LAX-ORD flight with only 2 classes of service. I was upgraded in the following ORD-RDU flight using 500 mile segments.
The first flight was changed to a 757, and I was upgraded without using segments because I am Platinum and the flight was fully booked.
The next flight was also 2 hours late. I was upgraded using the 500 mile segments, but they were not deducted from my account.
Does anyone know if this was a mistake or if it occurred because the flight was delayed?
In the past, when a flight was canceled on the LAX-SFO route, I kept my upgrade on the later flight, but the upgrade was not deducted.
Others with similar expeience?
