Japan Airlines and Delta Air Lines on Friday reached a basic agreement on a comprehensive tie-up that mainly features code-sharing flight services, company sources said.
All the other US legacies and many business groups are going to fight the antitrust exemption all the way. If AA/BA/IB cannot get ATI without large concessions, Delta/JAL won't either. And the Obama DOJ and DOT will not be as accommodating as the prior administrations on antitrust issues.
