i stayed here for 1 night recently. Overall it was a pleasant stay. Some little things bugged me, but it was good for a short stay.

Positives: comfortable room. I'm not sure which room was mine, but it seemed to be a larger than normal room with a couch in the middle. It was not a full 1 bedroom suite though. i have pics and will post them later.

Great gym. Really spacious, with high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows with great views of the mountain.

I really enjoyed the club lounge too. I thought the food was great (although I've had better congee at the other HKG hyatts). Club lounge attendants were all friendly

Restaurant was good too. The lunch and dinner buffets were pretty impressive.

I got a good rate that equaled about $80 before taxes.

Negatives:

Location is middle of nowhere. I'm not sure what this hotel's primary clientele is, except people who need to be near the university or maybe people on their way to Mainland. It's a shlep from Kowloon and Central and not accessible by the Airport Express train.

I asked the concierge to print 1 page for me. I got the page plus a bill for $8 HKD, which is not a lot of money. but I always get annoyed when hotels nickel and dime me. I also would have liked some sort of warning.

At the swimming pool, the attendant raised a ruckus because I was wearing shoes. apparently shoes are not allowed on the tiled area around the pool. If they really want to enforce that rule, there should be a sign, instead of some guy waving at me like a lunatic.

Diamond amenity was I guess the three apples on the table in my room.

Also, there is a glass wall between the bedroom and bathroom, and while the doors to the shower and toilet rooms are opaque, this might be an issue, if you are sharing a room with someone.

Terrible coffee. Actually, I had a hard time finding good coffee anywhere in Hong Kong.

Overall, I'd stay here if i needed the stay credit or if I was on my way into Mainland. Other than that, the location is too inconvenient.
