Now for the top tier. We tried so hard to choose the Super Elite from Air Canada, but the lack of a generous upgrade policy was something we and others we interviewed just couldn't overcome. But they have everything, and I mean everything else going for them. So, for the top tier we choose TWA Platinum. Upgrades, lounges and more. Upgrades include companions, international flights and lounge privileges. We were very close also to the US Airways program, but the ultimate tie-breaker is no blackout dates or capacity controls for Platinum members.
