Basically it will function as a ICOCA card. I have a Suica card with me also. I can use it on any JR ZAIRAISEN (any JR lines only). So in Hiroshima you can use it on any JR train stations and remember JR only. You can swipe it as you have been doing with your ICOCA card. It will not work on those local trains. I remember getting off at Hiroshima station and taking the local ding ding ding trains that run right next to the road. It will not work on those (ICOCA yes / Suica NO). If you go to those stores(JR KIOSK) which you can pay with ICOCA and SUICA they usually work vise versa. You just have to learn overtime where things work and don't work(if you lived in the Kansai area I could help more specifically).

I read on the site that mileage earned by Edy is 1 mile for every 200yen (with the exception of am pm), but is rounded down to the nearest 200yen. Do you know if that's per transaction? Like if I buy something for 300yen, and then something else later for 300yen, do i get 2 miles or 3 miles?
This one I am not sure. I have been using EDY for almost 2.5years and I still haven't figured out how they round it off. I think I should call Edy and ask how they do this rounding off.
