You nailed it.... I just had my AA award re-ticketed today by changing from CX872 to CX882 after the re-timing of CX872 (it took over a month for CX/AA to work this out). Just tonight I called AA to get CX's record locator and went to CX's website to select my first J seat ever on CX882 for Jul 5 on a 74A. I initially saw the 74A but the seat map would not display due to "technical difficulty". An hour later I went back in, and it was showing 77A. I checked all other sites and they are all showing 77A now. I am disappointed as I have never been upstairs and was so looking forward to the 74A... Anyway, I have selected 11A for now for the small J cabin while I spend time reading posts to find out if there are any preferential J seats in 77A. Any recommendation?

So it looks like CX is still adjusting its NA Summer schedule while taking delivery of more 77A.
