How to look respectable after a red-eye?

Title says it in a nutshell. I dress comfortably, in light layers, with minimal make-up (no-run mascara, a bit of cream blush and lip tint). But after a night of fitful dozing (Y or J, doesn't matter), my normally curly/wavy hair is flat from wearing headphones and straight and flyaway from the dry air. My complexion is gray and porous. Lips and hands are cracked despite frequent moisturizing. I've never been terribly adept at the girly skills but it's embarrassing when the guy next to me looks better than I do (ok, so he's 20 years younger). Are there some miraculous secret balms and elixirs nobody talks about that will help me look less like a refugee or a terrorist going through immigration at 7 am? What are your best tips?
