I have only flown BA PE and not VS PE, but the VS seat looked better than the BA seat when I was flying in VS UC.

A friend of mine was not happy with the food and service when she flew VS. I found the BA food and service fine, but had benefitted from the lounges in advance of these flights.

I think the TPs and BA Miles as well as lounge access would make BA the better choice although that also depends on whether the fares are similar.
