Nobody can rationally argue that the current crewing levels have impacted flight safety, and I think it is embarrassing of BASSA to do so. I hope the thread gets binned pretty soon.

However, something I considered when booking a flight before Christmas was - is an airline full of disgruntled employess less safe than an airline full of happy employees?

My answer - NO, unless it is the maintenance staff.
