Any further issues/experiences with this?
I need to rent a car in Orlando in February. For some reason all rates are really high with all companies (maybe too close to the Daytona 500).
Miles and More are advertising some promotions with Avis so I tried booking through their link. I accidentally left the country of residence as Germany. It returned a rate of 180 Euros for five days whcih is around $260. If I log in with Croatia as my country of residence (which is where I live) the rate is $322. If I log in with the US as my country of residence (where I have a permanent address and where my citizenship/passport is), then I get $528. All terms are the same. What gives???
And if my driver's license shows my US address will I have problems picking up the car? Seems from the few responses to this thread the answer will be "no" but any recent experiences would be appreciated.
