Basically you're screwed
You should have searched these boards first. DL is incapable of processing upgrades for DL-operated, NW-coded flights. This is a known bug, has been discussed here many times over and Delta has decided that it's not necessary to waste the manpower fixing this because NW/DL reservation systems are being combined.
So Delta will not process the upgrade for you. Since it is a Delta flight, NW has zero control over your upgrade.
The only chance of an upgrade will be at the airport after you plead with the check-in and gate agents. Even then there's likely to be a wait list anyway and you won't be on it.
Once the reservation systems are combined (within the next month or so I believe), then everyone will be on DL-coded flighs and this codeshare upgrade nightmare goes away.
EDIT: I just realized this is
ifette. I'm surprised with you man. I thought for sure you'd have remembered this and never booked DL-operated/NW-coded. So unfortunately saving that $25 is going to prevent you from getting EUA'd.
Oh, and I think you're doubly screwed because once you use an e-cert you are no longer eligible for the Customer First policy which means you can't refund your ticket and book again using DL flight numbers. Maybe the elite desk will let you around this?
