About 10 years ago we stayed at the Westin Maui twice. We tried the Hyatt Regency Maui four years ago and have been back there two more times because we like it better. The Hyatt has larger rooms. I also think the Hyatt has better ocean views because of the orientation of the buildings. And the pool area seems more spread out than the Westin, although both are very nice.

We prefer the location of the Hyatt since it is at the end of the Kaanapali sidewalk and gets less people walking by.
