Just got back from a Points saver stay at the Berlin Marriott. I notified the hotel it was my girlfriends birthday - got upgraded to an Exec level corner room and there was a birthday cake waiting for us on our arrival (note I am Plat anyway), late check out also no problem. Concierge lounge was very good, hot breakfast, well stocked during the day and a free bar in the evening. Thought the hotel was lovely and well positioned near U and S Bahn at Potsdamer Platz. Only disappointment was hotel pool which bl**dy freezing (it was around -8C outside) and a bit small for a hotel of the size. All staff spot on. The snow meant wandering the quiet streets of Berlin was a real pleasure
