how is this airline compared to US domestic line, a southwest airlines or closer to jetblue/virgin america?
I've never flown Aegean but have family members who have and they have said good things about the hard and soft product.

You don't mention any airline affiliations in your profile, so I do not know if you will have access to the Aegean lounge in ATH.

Their lounge is great (does not face the runway but rather the parking lot), has a couple of televisions and computers (I believe access is free but I'm not 100% positive). What I can tell you is that the food offering are much better than the LH Tower Lounge at FRA.
