My thanks to you both. I did get in touch with KTMB. Apparently, I can take the overnight express from Singapore to Gua Musang, arriving at 04:34 and change to the local, slow train leaving GM at 07:00. This way I get the second half of the trip as a day time view (5 or 6 hours). I am writing & shooting this for a well known U.S. travel publication, so the thru express night train is not an option. Hopefully the updated schedule onthe 15th of January will re-instate the morning Gemas departure. Once again, ringrazie to you for your help.
