Plat luggage allowance to help traveling friends

So my family of 4 is booked for AUA this year and I am Plat.

Based on the FT FAQ section:

Am I correct that my entire family can check up to 3 bags each (70 pounds) without a fee?

(Side question - these are revenue tix, but does it make any difference if they are reward tix?)

I am traveling with non-elite friends and would like to check some of their luggage so they don't have to pay the fees (that have now gone up).

I believe non-elites flying to AUA get the first bag free (50 pounds), correct?

So, assuming I don't have 3 bags for each of my family members, I could check in some of their luggage to help them avoid the fee beyond the first bag. Right?

Thanks for your help.
