Erroneus flight cancellation info on AA.com
I wonder if anyone else has noticed how AA.com has a severe bug: it will lead you to believe that a flight is flying even if it isn't, by failing to display the "FLIGHT CANCELLED" remark in the "Actual Flight Information" box at the top of "Gates and Times" display. This happens for all flights that have more than one segment.
One thinks that fixing this would be on the top of American Airlines (if not AA.com's) priorities, yet even though they've known about it for over a year, I haven't seen any action.
Has anyone else been cought by this misinformation?
Also, given that detailed information on why a flight is late/cancelled is provided in SABRE, and all the fuzz about the customer service plan that promises to give accurate and complete information on delays to us poor flyers, why isn't such info available on line? It is given to travel agencies, isn't it?
