If one flies LAN as LAN (or a oneworld codeshare) one earns as per the airline showing on the ticket. Flying on a non-oneworld airline (such as Aeroméxico) one is not likely, IMO, to earn AAdvantage miles on a LAN codeshare operated by that airline.

I would definitely take the "Qualifying miles, points and segments count toward AAdvantage Executive Platinum, AAdvantage Platinum, and AAdvantage Gold status and bonuses. To attain AAdvantage elite status, a member must fly on at least four American Airlines or American Eagle flights within the qualifying year. Flight mileage may not accrue on flights operated by carriers other than oneworld carriers" as will not, rather than a statement of possibility.

Unlike JL, where it is clearly stated:

Codeshare Flights
  • JAL codeshare flights operated by oneworld carriers and oneworld affiliates are eligible for mileage accrual.
  • JAL codeshare flights operated by any other carrier, in any fare class are also eligible for mileage accrual.

Flying SN as IB meant no AA miles for me, ditto similar situations.
