Another issue to complicate things. You mention that you want to book reward travel. The number of seats left may not have anything to do with the number of seats available for reward travel, depending on how many miles you are willing to spend. Is there a reason you need to know the exact number of seats left? Isn't it sufficient to be able to determine if there are the number of reward seats you need?
