Agree, forget J and go for an F award on LH. You'll have to fly to a US gateway city, then connect back to CDG, but the extra 15K is well worth it. Also, you should check out the BRU return flight to ensure it is an XM 763 and not one of the seasonal "domestic" configurations. If that's the case, you'll really be upset at spending the extra miles. (Award seats in J generally default to 1A.)
