I am plat on AA and am flying a lot. My q. is whether it is worth getting PE status on AA? Plat is easy, but PE is hard due to the points calculation rule. I do fly mostly last minute tix full coach fares, but if I am going to be plat easily nxt year I might focus add'l miles over the 50K on other airlines.

Should I consider doing this? What do you get that's so wonderful at AA's top level elite?
