Whilst that does make complete sense (although, oddly, probably not on this route for a variety of reasons to do with the pricing structure), it would surely mark a fairly radical departure in the sales methodology for premium fare tickets. Surely one might view the S African fares as a precursor to the abolotion of fully flexible tickets on busy routes where advance sales of full loads can be reasonably assured. This surely cannot be a good thing and we should collectively be trying to get to the bottom of whether this is indeed a new sales policy.
