fair enough. My observation was for non elites. Like I said, elites on domestic flights on cheap fares are ok on AA.

The bag fees dont allow them to get occasional or leisure travellers.

AA seems to be a good bet for low fare, domestic business travellers with elite status. What I cant tell is if these are the ones making a lot of money for AA (As opposed to premium International travellers) or if these travellers make up for the revenue lost from travellers who usually fly higher fares domestically (unrestricted fares etc that get higher probability of upgrades on United for example) and the domestic leisure travellers.
