I had a conversation with my seatmate yesterday,he was telling me that a Station manager@ outside the US can request nominate status for GS if she/he feel it is suitable? He told me that he fly out of the small UA station and knew the Station manager.

Well I believe all of us here (including me) archieved the hard way with lots of $$$ spending.
