Quick question for the board:

My daughter's doing a study-abroad semester this summer, and we'd like to take a family trip (three of us) to Greece either before or after. Her session runs June 5 to July 16th. So our choice would be ~May27-June 5 or July 16-25.

We'd like to visit Athens, Santorini, and another island (yet-to-be-determined)...I assume ~3 days each.

Can anybody recommend the better choice in timing: before or after, and why?

Also, if you've got any recommended itineraries, places to stay, or things we shouldn't miss, I'd love your advice.
