The 7 reflects that there are AT LEAST 7 seats available. Most systems (and I am thinking of preview travel esp.) shows the actual number os seats if it is less than 7, and a 7 if it is 7 or more.

I dont think any site shows you FF seats since it is up to yield mgt to set the number of seats. In AA's case, you can use the AAnytime awards and get a seat without capacity controls or blackout dates.
