The first row is fine, although I agree with Jasper2009 that the 6th row is to be preferred. There's an extra bit of space in those pods. The first row feels a little more private since there's nobody immediately in front of you and you get a surface that you can put things onto like your newspaper or your tray when you're finished with them. It's not too bad talking through the little divider, although it's not great for extended conversations.
