Inventory management works in strange ways. I have a flight this Friday that has 7 out of 11 F seats available (per Expert Flyer, NOT the seat map) yet there are no upgrades available yet. At the same time I had an upgrade clear at my 7 day window for a flight that only had 2 F seats available.
