Domestically look at the -UP fares that book into Z or A. For a same day you can do LAX-DEN/ORD-TPA-IAD-LAX for $933 in A (no three class planes) on Tue/Wed, others days $10-20 more. You can do it in one very long day if you want. That's 5466 miles via DEN and more via ORD.

LAX-SFO in A is $359 ai but has to be nonstop (no routing for more miles), so you'd have to do that 5 times.
