"Unable to Complete Check-in"
For my last three CO flights, when I get to the end of the online check-in process and am ready to print out my boarding pass, I get the message "unable to complete check-in" "please proceed to the airport for assistance". I'm a Plat Elite, have a fully updated profile with travel document information etc.
When I phone up CO they tell me:
1. I am checked-in
2. They can't obtain a boarding pass either - even when you go back into the reservation and go to "reprint boarding card" the same error message comes up.
3. There is no obvious reason on my account as to why this happening.
Each time, I contact CO Electronic support they tell me they will refer it to technical services but it never gets fixed. The only feedback I ever got was that it was a technical problem associated with the yahoo email address I used to book my reservation, but that doesn't explain why web check-in didn't work and on my most recent reservation I used a gmail address and still had the same problem.
This morning I used my computer to check-in my business colleague who is travelling with me to San Diego tomorrow and obtained a boarding card for them, but not for my reservation.
I have followed-up with CO customer service, but nobody can tell me what the problem is, or if it has or ever will be fixed. Once the problem is reported to technical services nobody appears to keep track of it or get back to you with a resolution.
I have to say I am distinctly underwhelmed with the lack of any desire to sort out what is happening for a frequent flyer. I even contacted CO Insider but received no response.
Even though I can print out a boarding pass without problem at an airport kiosk, its frustrating not to be able to print one out in advance especially when in a rush and/or its an overbooked flight.
What's happening and how do I get CO to fix what appears to be a technical problem associated with my account somewhere ?
