Where is the complaint dept??
I'm flying U.S. 551 on 01/13/10. I am 'gold', and there are two seats available in first, and U.S. has told me that they are not upgradeable, but are being held in their inventory for sale. When I spoke to a supervisor, she was careful to emphasize that upgrades were complimentary, and not earned, and that I should understand that U.S. should have the right to hold seats for sale, rather than upgrade. She told me that even if I was 'chairman', I could not get the seat.
Is this something new, or have I missed something. I fly a lot of crappy flights to maintain my U.S. gold status, and now i'm told that the 3 day rule is only on some flights and some seats at U.S. airways discretion.
Anybody got any insight on this???
