I would (and I can't believe I am doing this) like to COMPLIMENT American re: FREE FIRST CLASS TICKET AVAILABILITY TO THE HAWAIIAN ISLANDS. I am a Platinum member from Dallas, and I called today to reserve 1 Free FIRST CLASS SEAT TO KONA, HI from Dallas. I wanted to leave on 9/18. I was given a choice of several connecting flights thru LAX on 9/18 @ ONLY 60,000 MILES R/T -
OR, leave on 9/20 and take the Dallas non-stop to Honolulu. I chose the 9/20 departure, however, my point is:
FINALLY SOMEONE IS WILLING TO GIVE LOYAL PLATINUM MEMBERS A BREAK (i.e. you do not ave to cash in 120,000 miles like Continental is trying to rip me off on).
Plus, the 60K takes me all the way into Kona.
