My advice is to reserve your tickets, way in advance. With the summer, tickets to Europe and London are most desired. I believe that you can reserve ff tickets some 330 days in advance or something like that.

One can change dates/times on AA ff tickets as long as the city pairs/routing does not change. If you do change the cities/routing, the $75 fee then applies.
