I would recommend doing DEN-FRA or LHR over a double EQM period or over a winter sale. I think you will have a good time, and you will have an ease of travel. Don't have to worry too much about immigration stuff/VISA stuff. Just head over, relax for a few days, then come back. Usually, you can find good prices in the winter (UA has a 'sale') going on right now. Or wait until a long weekend and double EQM, just go for a few days and come right back.
